ABOUT
ARIELLA KOORLANDER EREIRA is a British Composer for Film & Television based in London, with an MA in Composing for Film & TV from the NATIONAL FILM & TELEVISION SCHOOL (NFTS).
Ariella recently assisted Martin Phipps on all six episodes of Netflix's BLACK DOVES, (starring Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw), as well as Amazon Prime's STEAL (starring Sophie Turner). She also assisted Dave Rowntree on StudioCanal's PARIS HAS FALLEN, streaming now on Hulu and Amazon Prime. She works on a freelance basis for BLEEDING FINGERS MUSIC, Hans Zimmer’s Composer Collective and writes original music for the company and their partnered Production Music Libraries: SONY/ATV and EXTREME MUSIC.
Recent credits include THE TORNADO OUTSIDE, finalist for a student BAFTA and premiered on VIMEO Staff Pick, KHAYELITSHA, finalist for a student OSCAR, GOSSIP, shortlisted for a student BAFTA, and THE THIN GREEN LINE, finalist for the JACKSON WILD AWARD (2023), and premiering at the Jackson Wild’s World Wildlife Day Film Showcase in partnership with the UN. Ariella’s score for FACES OF THE CLOUD FOREST was also a finalist for a MUSIC + SOUND AWARD for BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC IN A SHORT FILM (2023).
An exceptionally versatile composer with an extensive output, she has also recorded scores at AIR STUDIOS LONDON,
Drawn to sweeping melodies and quirky, organic and ambient textures, Ariella has a bold approach to scoring, combining traditional methods with both contemporary and experimental sounds.
Ariella’s work is heavily influenced by her classical training in piano, whilst her degree in English Literature informs her appreciation of the nuances and emotional subtleties of storytelling, which always remains at the centre of her work.
